is

nearby

Porlamar.
You
can
find

beach
clubs
and
restaurants,
where
you

be

enjoy

the
whole
family.
This
is a
wonderful
option
if
you
are
staying
in
Porlamar
and
don't
want
to
go
far
away
from
the
city
facilities.. |
Pampatar
|
.This
bay
is
dominated
by
the
Castle
of
Pampatar.
The
bay
is
shared
between
fishermen
and
swimmers.
The
very
calm
waters
have
very
small
not
no
waves.
Ideal
for
a
quick
dip
or a
family
with
small
children
looking
to
refresh
themselves
in
the
sea.

Playa Guacuco
|

the best
beaches
on
Margarita.
This
beach is
a short
cab ride
or drive
to
Porlamar.
The
entire
beach is
lined
with
coconut
trees
and is
not as
crowded
as other
the
beaches
to the
north.
The soft
rolling
waves
are
great
fun to
splash
around
in.
Often it
is
possible
to watch
people
doing
the "Gaucuco
Dance"
which is
the way
you
twist
and turn
in the
water to
dig up
fresh
clams.
An
excellent
choice
for a
day of
fun in
the sun,
you
should
try it.

El Tirano
|
.A
relatively
small
beach,
but
very
pleasant
and
not
as
crowded
as
other
beaches
along
this
shoreline.
Often
forgotten
by
the
tourist
but
not
the
local
who
come
here
an
play
volleyball.
A
wonderful
section
of
the
beach
is
used
by
the
guests
of
the
Barceló
Pueblo
Caribe
hotel. This
beach
is
located
next
to
the
small
fishing
village
of
El
Tirano.
Each
morning
you
can
go
to
the
harbor
and
buy
fish
fresh
from
the
sea.

Playa Parguito

recently
this
beach
has
become
one
of
the
fashion
beaches
and
ever
increasing
in
popularity
with
tourist
from
Europe
and
Canada.
Smaller
than
Playa
El
Agua
but
not
lacking
any
of
the
charm
or
excitement.
Parquito
has
nice
waves,
it
is
the
surfer's
choice
and
often
the
host
site
of
surfing
contest.
Very
good
restaurants
and
kiosks
line
the
beach
that
will
be
sure
to
satisfy
any
hunger
you
may
have

Playa El Agua
|

This
is
Margarita's
classic
and
most
popular
beach.
Preferred
by
many.
A
very
long
beach
with
a
round
trip
walk
from
one
end
to
another
that
could
take
more
than
one
hour.
Water
sports?
Definitely
a
"must",
with
jet
skis
and
boat
rides
and
even
ultra-lite
aircraft
for
your
enjoyment.
The
beach
is
brimming
with
outstanding
restaurants
and
kioskos
serving
food
and
drink
to
every
taste.
Many
local
artists
display
and
sell
their
crafts
along
the
side
walk
the
runs
the
length
of
the
beach.
Many
fine
hotels
and
posadas
are
a
short
walk
from
the
beach.
At
night
go
to
the
clubs
and
dance
the
night

Playa Manzanillo

bay
that
is
recently
becoming
more
and
more
used
by
beach
lovers.
Not
so
crowded
this
beach
is a
quite
and
very
pleasant
place
to
lay
back
and
enjoy
the
sun.
Due
to
this
being
a
bay
the
water
is
crystal
clear
and
very
smooth
and
calm.
For
lunch
visit
one
of
the
restaurants
and
have
the
catch
of
the
day

Playa
Puerto Cruz (Isla Bonita -
Dunes)

Close to the
village of Pedro
Gonzalez, far
to the north of
the island is
located this
fine beach. Near
the Dunes hotel
wich is one of
Margarita's best
hotel and
resort. Not so
crowded with
facilities and
water
sports. The twon
of Pedro
Gonzalez is like
stepping back in
time to how this
wonderful island
was 200 years
ago.

Playa
Caribe

One of
the popular beaches with the
tourist. Close to Juangriego
which is a town also known
for great shopping
experiences. This beach is
ringed by mountains that
give a breath taking view to
enjoy while you lay in the
sun and swim. Perfect waves
to splash in and nice
restaurants to lunch in.
After a day on the beach be
sure to go to one of the
restaurants and enjoy a fine
meal while watching the
world famous and spectacular
and very romantic sunsets of
Juangriego

This beach is
located in a
national park,
it is the
longest beach in
Margarita (22
kilometers).
Like many of
beaches here on
the island it
has waves but
not overwhelming
ones. You can
find many
seashells under
the sand. You
can reach this
beach by land,
through the
Macanao
peninsula or
by boat through
the mangroves of
La Restinga
National Park.
This tour is
definitely an
"absolute must".

Playa La
Pared

A very
nice beach, that
is not well
known to all.
Located in the
north part of
the peninsula of
Macanao. No
facilities Other
then the
restaurant at
the top of the
cliff. From the
top of the cliff
you climb the
stairs down the
cliff to the
beach. The cliff
lines the back
of the beach
giving the beach
its name La
Pared (The
Wall). A good
choice if you
want to be far
from the crowds
and enjoy the
sea and nature
alone to
yourself. |
Punta
Arenas

With the
local people and
the few tourist
that find this
beach, this
remains a
favorite beach.
This beach is
very long and
wide. the water
calm and it also
offers a
wonderful view
of the
Venezuelan
mainland. A true
nature lovers
beach barely
touched and
changed by man.
Many several The
long trip from
Porlamar (70 km)
is definitely
worth it to
spend a day at
this incredible

El Yaque
|

Located just
behind the
airport is one
of the top 10
windsurfing
spots in the
world. The beach
is very popular
specially for
families with
small children
as the sea is so
calm and smooth.
Very pleasant,
specially if you
don't mind the
wind.
Recommended for
small children
because it is
not deep at all.
many nice
coconut and palm
trees cover the
beach area. Very
good restaurants
and hotels
located near by
in the small
peaceful village
of El Yaque.
Come watch the
windsurfers
while enjoying a
cold drink |

rated as the 4th
best place to
Windsurf and Kite
Surf, and know as a
paradise to this
disciplines for it
strong winds.

Coche
|
Although it is
not located in
Margarita but on
the Isle Coche
but for many
it's Margarita's
best beach.
White sand, blue
see, nice
breeze, not so
crowded. If you
don't want to
overnight in
Coche, you can
take a highly
recommended "day
tour" arriving
and leave in the
high speed ferry
boats
